We have 30 comfortable rorbu cabins (fisherman’s cabins) in 5 different categories:
All of our 30 original or newly built rorbu cabins maintain extremely high standard. Each cabin has from one to three double bedrooms, a well-equipped kitchenette in conjunction with the living room, and a modern bathroom with shower and toilet. All the cabins are winter insulated. Considerable emphasis has been placed on maintaining the authenticity of the rorbu cabins. Time-honoured craftsmanship and timber have been preserved in order to provide a feeling of what a rorbu cabin was like in the days when the fishermen harvested the seas of Lofoten on boats with only oars and sails.
1. Rorbu Cabins for 1-2 persons
Rorbu cabins with 1 bedroom and 2 beds, 1 bathroom with shower and toilet, living room and a well-equipped kitchenette. Altogether 9 rorbu cabins in this category, all of them original rorbu cabins adapted to modern day standards and comfort.

2. Standard I Rorbu Cabins for 2-4 persons
Rorbu cabins with 2 bedrooms each with 2 beds, 1 bathroom with shower and toilet, living room and a well-equipped kitchen.Altogether 9 rorbu cabins in this category, all of them original rorbu cabins adapted to modern day standards and comfort.

3. Standard II Rorbu Cabins for 2-4 persons
Rorbu cabins with 2 bedrooms each with two beds, 2 bathrooms with shower and toilet, living room and a well-equipped kitchen. Altogether 10 cabins in this category, all of which are newly built in the original rorbu cabin style.

4. Standard Rorbu Cabin for 3-6 persons
Rorbu cabin with 3 bedrooms each with 2 beds, 1 bathroom with shower and toilet, living room and a well-equipped kitchen. Only one cabin in this category. Original rorbu cabin. Bunk beds in one of the bedrooms.

Suite with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms downstairs. Kitchen and living room upstairs. Great view. Not a traditional rorbu, but an old timber house. High standard.
